StriVectin-SH Age Protect SPF 30
This is a unique product because it is both a sunscreen and an anti-age cream. It contains mainly sunscreens as its active ingredients, but also adds that it protects against the type of rays that cause aging. It also includes StriVectin’s proprietary ingredient NIA-114, which is supposed to aid in the reduction of wrinkles and age lines.

What Else Should I Know About StriVectin-SH Age Protect SPF 30?
This product is interesting because it claims to do two things at once. Upon reviewing the ingredients, we found that most of them are proven to be effective sunscreens, though they are almost all greasy.
Octocrylene, however, has been shown to cause DNA damage and cancer. Studies have even shown that the risk actually increases when subjects use octocrylene as opposed to those who used no sunscreen at all. Because of this, we would not recommend this product. Even though there is a relatively small amount of octocrylene in the product, it would not be worth the risk.
