Botox is an injection administered only by licensed physicians. It essentially works by freezing all the muscles in the face or at least those around the injection site. Injections tend to cost about $400 per area, and the results last about 4 months at a time. But results can take up to a month to set in and give you the desired effects.

What Else Should I Know about Botox?
Unfortunately, Botox comes with quite a few side effects, and it can even cause respiratory distress and death in some cases. Botox is not known for always providing the same effects, and the botulism has even been known to travel to other areas of the body in some cases, essentially poisoning that area of the body. Botulism is still a poison and a toxin. They may only use small amounts, but it remains unsafe. In addition, it is not actually FDA approved for the treatment of wrinkles. We would suggest various viable alternatives.
