ArteFill Review
What is ArteFill?
ArteFill is an FDA approved wrinkle procedure that consists of injectable implants. They generally use it to correct facial wrinkles such as nasolabial folds or smile lines. It has become part of a category known as non-resorbable dermal fillers, essentially remaining solid and not being broken down by the body over a short period of time as dermal fillers often are.
What Ingredients are in ArteFill?
ArteFill's proprietary blends include filtered microspheres, purified bovine collagen, and PMMA.
What Else Should I Know about ArteFill?
While ArteFill does use a new approach that is supposed to last longer as an injectable substance than dermal fillers, it is not necessarily so revolutionary. ArteFill is proven to remain unbroken down by the body for a longer period of time, but that does not mean it will stay in the same place. Like many others, it can turn into lumps, and adverse side effects including lumpiness, persistent swelling, redness, and increased sensitivity at the injection site have been reported. ArteFill is for a very specific area of wrinkles, and with all things considered, there are definitely more viable and inexpensive alternatives to say the least.
