Ole Henriksen ‘truth is in the eyes’

Ole Henriksen 'truth is in the eyes'Ole Henriksen ‘truth is in the eyes’ is an anti-aging eye treatment that is supposed to “change the way we think about eye care forever.” While most creams and gels shy away from harsh abrasive materials and exfoliating ingredients, Ole Henriksen ‘truth is in the eyes’ claims to be able to very gently exfoliate your eye area without damaging the delicate tissue.

Is it possible for an exfoliating cream to tighten and brighten the under-eye area? We need to look at the ingredients closely before we can make that determination.

What are the Ingredients in Ole Henriksen ‘truth is in the eyes’

Micro Algae – This ingredients is supposed to firm the skin and boost collagen production, but it doesn’t appear in a high enough concentration to be effective. A higher dose of algae has been proven to stimulate the production of collagen, but this product has more fillers than it does effective ingredient.

Rice Bran Protein – Rice bran protein is supposed to strengthen under eye tissue and improve circulation to reduce dark circles and puffiness, but specialists have found that it is better as a breakfast ingredient than in an eye cream. It does not permeate the skin and cannot give you lasting results.

Lactic & Glycolic Acid – These ingredients are actually effective – they are used in high dosages in chemical peels to renew the skin and generate new skin growth.

Vitamin C – Vitamin C is said to naturally lighten, brighten, and tighten the skin, but in reality, it does little beneath the skin’s surface to combat the signs of aging.

What Else Should I Know About Ole Henriksen ‘truth is in the eyes’?

We would not recommend buying this product. Though glycolic acid will help to exfoliate the skin, we are not convinced that exfoliation is good for the under-eye area. We would recommend trying something that has a high concentration of peptides, which will actually stimulate collagen production – thickening and tightening the skin.
