Murad Resurgence cites a study which they say shows that Murad Resurgence reduces wrinkles in 90% of women, firms skin in 93% of women, and improves overall skin hydration in 97% of women in just 4 weeks! Of course, they conducted this study themselves in their own labs.

This study has never been published, and it is not officially endorsed by any credible source, in part because of the obvious bias. It was not necessarily randomized, placebo controlled, or anything else that would be required for a legitimate study. But let’s see if the formula exceeds expectations.

Why They Use a Kit

One thing that stands out to us is the fact that Murad Resurgence is actually a kit. It has 3 separate pieces which would ideally produce better results. A kit can take longer to use. Active Skin Healthy Ingredients

Murad Resurgence does have a few acne fighting ingredients. Ingredients like glycolic acid have been used in chemical peels that reduce wrinkles. But in smaller concentrations appropriate for everyday use, it is only an acne fighter.

They also have the natural moisturizer and cushioner hyaluronic acid, which works to preserve healthy skin cells, and when combined with essential oils like rose oil and soybean oil, Murad Resurgence can moisturize and heal damaged skin. Even though this may again fight acne, it could never be proven to reduce wrinkles and other signs of aging. This begs the question, do they have any proven wrinkle fighters?

Peptides in Murad

Peptides are to date the only ingredients clinically proven to reverse the process of aging as they are the only ingredients clinically proven to enhance the production of the skin’s own collagen and elastin. Murad uses 2 major peptides, which can do just this.

The problem is that as you might expect, they do not have the clinically proven amounts. The typical peptide generally requires 5-10% concentrations, if not more. You would be lucky to get 1% of either peptide in Murad Resurgence.

What Else Should I Know about Murad Resurgence?

While Murad Resurgence clearly does not have the ingredients required to reduce wrinkles, no matter how many times you look through the extensive formulas, it does have quite a few potential irritants. Murad Resurgence has ingredients such as parabens, alcohols, and titanium dioxide, all of which can irritate and break down healthy skin cells. Essential oils could ideally reverse skin damage. But the concentrations found here are not likely to achieve this effect.
