Makari
Makari is a skin care line that is marketed towards African Americans and other ethnicities who may struggle to find cosmetics that suit their particular needs.
Ironically, Makari criticizes the popular skincare lines that do not cater to the needs of these women, and then provides mainly lightening creams – designed to make darker skin paler.
We found it interesting that Makari would imply that dark skin is not inherently beautiful by selling such products, especially after reading their accusations that other cosmetic companies were racist and limited.
What are the Ingredients in Makari
This product line uses natural ingredients rather than using harsh chemicals and bleaches. It uses extracts and acids that are proven to promote the growth of new skin cells while ridding the face of dead and darkened cells.
What Else Should I Know About Makari?
We read many consumer reviews about Makari products and have come to the conclusion that we should not recommend this product. Most of the women who used to noticed that their skin did appear to be lighter, but that after a few weeks of using the product, they started to notice negative side effects.
Many experienced painful rashes, some complained of acne and blackheads, and even at best, there seemed to be a general consensus that the product is oily.
When they stopped using Makari products in order to stop the rashes or other side effects, many saw that their skin returned to its previous darkness, and even seemed to get darker in some cases.
Some experienced very serious conditions, such as the growth of dark hair on the face or chemical peeling.
Though this product may not harm your skin as it has with others, we would still recommend finding something that has better reviews and more proven ingredients.
