Luminyze
Claiming to be among the world’s most effective skin brighteners, Luminyze is a cream applied daily to lighten and smooth the skin. We were unable to find any clinical studies done on Luminyze.
This product can only be purchased through a third party. It claims to be able to lighten the skin, reduce the appearance of age spots, reduce age lines, restore your skin to its natural glow as well as improve your pores and skin tone.
However, not a single ingredient is listed, making it impossible for us to know whether this product contains any of the active ingredients necessary to accomplish what it claims. It also claims to take up to 2 months to work.
What ingredients are in Luminyze?
As mentioned above, no ingredients are listed. It does mention that it is hydroquinone-free. Hydroquinone is a melanin inhibitor, and also can irritate the skin. The fact that this product does not contain this ingredient does not make this product good or bad, since melanin inhibition lightens the skin, and irritation was only found in high concentrations of the product.
What else should I know about Luminyze?
When a company does not list the ingredients of their product, the consumer should wonder if they are concealing the fact that their product contains little to no active ingredients, only fillers such as glycerin and water, and is not an effective product.
Usually anti-aging or skin lightening companies like to list their ingredients because it is what sets them apart from other companies – unique patented technology or researched-proven ingredients. Luminyze cost about $50 for 3 fl. oz. That is relatively inexpensive for anti-aging or lightening cream, but far too much to pay when you don’t know what you’re buying.
